Privacy Policy

Effective September 2026

Hypnotitron.com is operated by The CybrThugs, LLC. This policy explains what information the site collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled.

Email subscriptions

If you enter your email address to receive updates, the site stores that address so it can send subscription confirmation messages and notifications when new artwork or journal entries are published. Subscription records may also include operational information needed to manage confirmation, unsubscribe status, and delivery history.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in email messages.

First-party analytics

Hypnotitron.com uses its own first-party analytics to understand how the site is being used. The system records page or content types viewed, artwork or journal identifiers when applicable, timestamps, referral information, and limited source information such as whether a visit came from email, RSS, Atom, or a tagged social link.

The analytics system uses hashed visitor and session identifiers. Raw visitor identifiers are not stored in the analytics database, and the site does not use third-party advertising trackers or third-party analytics services for this purpose.

Referrer information is reduced before storage. Query strings, URL fragments, credentials, and similar sensitive URL components are not retained in analytics records.

Cookies and local identifiers

The site uses first-party cookies and session identifiers for functions such as administration, subscription workflows, and privacy-conscious analytics. The analytics visitor identifier is short-lived and is stored only in hashed form in analytics records.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The site's analytics system respects browser Do Not Track signals and Global Privacy Control signals. When one of those supported opt-out signals is present, eligible public-page analytics are not recorded.

Server logs and security

Like most websites, the hosting environment may create technical server logs needed for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Those logs are separate from the site's first-party analytics system.

Sharing and sale of information

The CybrThugs, LLC does not sell subscriber information or analytics data. Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to operate or secure the site, comply with law, or protect the rights and safety of the site, its operator, or others.

Data retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for security and operational needs, or as required by law. Subscription information may be retained after an unsubscribe request to ensure that the address remains unsubscribed.

External links

Hypnotitron.com may link to social platforms or other external websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those services and are not covered by this policy.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
